Real Results co-owner Branden Collinsworth shows us how to get a cross-training workout on the downtown terrain
When discussing the revitalization of downtown Las Vegas, we often reference bars, restaurants, art galleries, mini-malls, and high-rise condos. But a gym?
It may sound incongruent, but Real Results is not your typical athletic club. Many members, myself included, consider it more of a second home than a place to stretch and sweat.
Located at the corner of Commerce and California streets, in a former photography studio, Real Results debuted in April 2012. It was 2,000 square feet and had three employees, co-owners Branden Collinsworth and Paul Rosenberg and bookkeeper Sharon Rosenberg, Paul’s mom. It had 50 members and most of the equipment was donated or bartered for. Currently the gym is 4,500 square feet and has more than 20 employees, including 10 trainers, a front-desk staff and a management team. It has 400 members, many of whom themselves have played a key role in downtown’s revitalization.
Both Collinsworth and Rosenberg live downtown and Collinsworth can often be seen taking Real Results’ cross-training regimen to the streets. With that in mind, we asked if we could tag along and map his route and exercises and share it with our readers.
Lace up the sneaks and limber up the hammies. It’s time to hit the streets!
